KOSOVO / THE PUBLICATION ROOM

Make the publication decision visible to the people responsible.

Focused tools for a small team preparing public material.

Model the editorial decisions you actually make.

A shared document can hold the prose while an email holds the permission and a chat contains the approved partner name. We can develop a workspace that brings the relevant editorial material together without pretending that software can judge the truth of a public statement.

The design follows the roles on your team. A writer may prepare the text, a language reviewer may check meaning, and an authorised editor may approve publication. Those responsibilities can overlap, but they should be agreed rather than inferred from who last opened the file.

Attribution is part of the work.

For a fictional joint briefing, an editor must use a partner’s approved name and credit an image correctly. The tool can attach the permission record to the relevant asset and show the required credit beside the publishing fields. It should not treat permission for one briefing as an unrestricted licence for every future page.

We review the point where material leaves the workspace. The public page should contain only the approved content and attribution, not private reviewer comments or the source correspondence. A preview helps the team inspect that boundary before publication.

A bounded first tool.

A useful first version may cover one publication type, a small set of roles, previews and a documented export. Complex newsroom systems or automated translation pipelines need their own case. We can work alongside an existing content system if that better fits the team.

Describe one editorial decision that is hard to trace today.
